1. 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  NKJV

2. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. NKJV

3. 1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!  NKJV

4. Ps 1:1-3 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. NKJV

5. Isa 40:28-29 Have you not known? Have you not heard? he everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary.  His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.  NKJV

6. Isa 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.  NKJV

7. 1 John 5:16-17 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.  NKJV


8. Ps 46:4-5 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.  5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; NKJV

9. Ps 4:1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!  You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. NKJV


10. Ps 9:1-2 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.   2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.  NKJV

11. 1 Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. NKJV

12. 1 Thess 1:2-5 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, 3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, 4 knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. 5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance  NKJV

Ps 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.  2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.  3 He has put a new song in my mouth    Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. 14. Ps 34:1-3 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.  3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. NKJV


15. Ps 34:6-8 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.  7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him And delivers them.  8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!  NKJV

16. Ps 36:7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!  Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.  NKJV

17. Ps 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your  sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. NKJV

18. Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. NKJV

19. Prov 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first-fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. NKJV

20. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." NKJV

This verse has been my most favorite since I first read it many years ago.. So encouraging while teaching me to “wait on the Lord”.
